After School Club

After School club -
Girls night Tuesday 7-9pm; Boys night Wednesday  7-9pm.

Newark Youth London in partnership with Tower Hamlets Community Housing is delivering an After School Club for 10-16 year olds in the Luke House and surrounding area. The club is open every Wednesday 6-8pm. It is a place for children to come, relax, chat, make friends and have a good time after school.

Children have access to both structured and non-structured activities. Children take part in indoor activities such as board games, quizzes, games and educational workshops. These activities enables young people to improve their communication and skills, test their general knowledge and improve their mental ability.

Outside on the football pitch we organise, football, basketball, rounders and other sports and games. These improve co-ordination, balance, movement, fitness and teamwork.

Once a month we run a themed night tackling an issue affecting young people such as drug and alcohol abuse, smoking, health and fitness, nutrition, career and jobs. These workshops and theme nights get young people to talk, discuss and learn the facts about these topics.
