Who Are We?
Newark Youth London is a registered charity run by volunteers.  Our aim is to work with young people and develop them as better citizens.
Newark Youth London sees sport as a teaching tool & as a means of offering positive role models to young people and promotes family involvement and active citizenship.

Newark Youth London is a membership led organisation, with over 100 members at present. The members elect a Management Committee annually which is made up from existing members.

What Do We Do?
Newark Youth London’s activities are mainly sports based. The key concerns are the social and personal development of young people in Tower Hamlets; focusing more on young people that are vulnerable from negative peer groups.

Newark provides opportunities to young people to give them life experiences which they may never have had. The organisation takes part regularly in football leagues & competitions with much of the work carried out by volunteers who have progressed through the football teams & volunteers programme.

Through participation they learn important social skills like, teamwork, communication and time keeping, which can be transferred to the work place. We reduce the chances of young people participating in drugs, crime, gang violence and anti-social behaviour; as we give them the opportunity to develop the projects & make it a focus of their young lives & channelling their energy into positive work.

The charity’s activities provide an exit route into adult life for young people through educational training, sport & social activities; giving them a better chance & opportunities to find employment or further education.
