Stepney Girls Club Project

Newark Youth London has one of the most successful Girls Projects in Tower Hamlets. After running some pilot programmes, in 2009 a Girls Project was set up and run at the Lifra Centre in Stepney. This project still continues today at the Haileybury Youth Club.

The project has seen the girls go to Horse Riding classes, complete make up & beauty workshop as well arts and craft session. The girls have also taken an active role in becoming volunteers in the organisation as volunteer youth workers and completing the Introduction to Youth Wok training course.

Newark Youth London Girls - 'Its Your Choice the Video' Click Here

The Newark Youth London Girls project produced this video called 'Its your choice'. The project was funded through the Youth Opportunity Fund (YOF). The girls presented their project in front of a panel to get the funding. Once this came through they decided how they wanted to spend the money and produced the video.
