Who Are We?

Newark Youth London is a registered charity run by volunteers.  Our aim is to work with young people and develop them as better citizens.

Newark Youth London’s activities are sports based; however, its key concerns are the social and personal development of young people in East London. Newark Youth London sees sport as a means of offering positive role models to young people and promotes family involvement and active citizenship.

Newark Youth London is a membership led organisation, with over 100 Youth Members at present, of which 50% are under 15; 40% are between 16 and 25, and 10% are over 25. The members elect a Management Committee annually.

What Do We Do?

The organisation takes part in several leagues, and much of the work is carried out by volunteers who have progressed through the football programme.

Newark has a track record of success matched by ambitions for the organisation to expand – both in high standard football and in the range of participants to include girls and women, people with disabilities and parents.

We offer the following activities for young people:

  • Football (league games and free coaching)
  • Enter local, regional and national Tournaments
  • After School Club - Every Wednesday
  • Volunteering Opportunities - Various roles from coaching, managing, etc
  • Residentials - UK and Europe
  • Day Trips - Live matches/parks
  • Jack Petchey Achievement Awards
